Bicycle Safety Education

Going Green offers bicycle safety education courses for those wishing to teach bicycle safety in your own community. With years of experience in providing workshops for police offices, recreation department staff, school educators, and health professionals -- Principal Becka Roolf can teach you how to incorporate skills training and mock traffic situations into bicycle safety, especially for youth.

The Going Green philosophy is that bicycle handling skills and knowledge of traffic is ultimately even more important than wearing a helmet. All too often, youth bicycle safety education focuses only on the helmet. This is the equivalent of having drivers' ed class focus primarily on seatbelts. Let's teach our kids how not to crash!

Using nationally-developed curricula, Going Green can train you or your staff to be a community ambassador for safe bicycling.
