Tom Good worked for 8+ years on restoring his 1963 VW Bus / Type II. Just as the bus was nearly roadworthy -- ready for Tom's planned roadtrip around the country, Tom and I started dating. This is ironic, because I am here in Montpelier, and because I am a bicycle advocate and hate driving. I've also driven across country 4 times, and have sworn this type of road trip off for life, as it makes me feel ill emotionally / politically. Understanding that travel by VW Bus is somewhere between travel by bicycle and travel by modern automobile, I have enjoyed some local road trips in the VW Bus.

Here are some photos and movies I have taken of Tom and the bus in 2006 -- its first year on the road since its restoration!
